As a valued Orbit Homes customer, you have the opportunity to choose your finishing touches from our Design Studio. While your contract is being prepared, one of our experienced interior designers will guide you through the process of selecting the colours and finishes for your new home.

As you explore our design studio considering your options, our designer will help you explore the huge variety of standard offerings as well as upgrade opportunities – from top-of-the-range appliances and luxurious floor coverings to spectacular tiles and glass splashbacks.

Choosing the right colours for your new home should be a stimulating and satisfying experience, so our highly trained staff make sure that this process is as enjoyable and clear as possible so at the end, you’re able to visualise what your new home will look like!

Colour Selection Steps

Once you have purchased your new Orbit home, your sales consultant will email you with a selection guide to give you an idea of what to expect at your Design Studio appointment. We highly recommend that you familiarise yourself with this guide and the options listed in it so that you arrive at your appointment ready to discuss your preferred style and colours. We suggest starting with the exterior and working your way towards the interior, to help you create a pleasant flow and complementary colour scheme. You can also create mood boards and research online - whatever helps you find your style! We have created some initial mood boards to help spark your creativity; follow us on Pinterest, Instagram and Houzz to browse through our boards and projects. Don’t worry - it’s easier than you think..

At your appointment, our interior designers will discuss any research you have done and preferences you may have for your home and guide you through our comprehensive style selection process. This is your opportunity to view, touch and feel our full range of products in the Design Studio, to make sure that the selections you make are exactly what you want. Your interior designer will guide you through the whole house, starting with colours for the exterior of your new home including brickwork and mortar, roofing, front entry and garage door, as well as any feature materials such as painted render, feature tiles or stone. Once the externals have been selected the next step is to choose the internal colours; from floor and wall tiles, benchtops and cupboard doors. To complete your internal colour selection we take you on a tour of the Design Studio where you can see gourmet kitchen appliances, bathroom basins, tapware, accessories and more. To conclude your appointment, our designer reviews your entire colour selection with you, including any request for changes you made during your appointment. We recommend you take photos of your chosen colours to show friends and family and help with any furniture and furnishing shopping you may undertake.
At the conclusion of your appointment, you will receive a hard copy of your final colour selections. Once you have confirmed these final selections and signed your document, you can relax, watch the construction of your new home commence and see your dreams come to life. If you do change your mind following your appointment, you can make adjustments during the following week at no cost.
