Buying your first home can be filled with so many emotions
The excitement of finally having a place to call your own comes with a real sense of achievement, pride and possibility. There is the anticipation of how your new home will reflect your individual style, how each room will evolve, and how the space will support your lifestyle now and in the future.
At the same time, it is completely normal to feel some fear of the unknown — from navigating the building process to making the right decisions at each step. Together, these emotions form a powerful part of the journey, shaping both the experience and the connection you build with your new home.

What is the First Home Owner Grant?
The Queensland Government’s First Home Owner Grant is designed to help eligible first-time buyers enter the property market sooner. It provides financial assistance towards buying or building a new home in Queensland.
Why should I apply?
The grant provides financial assistance that can make your first home purchase more affordable. While the application process can seem complex, our team will guide you step-by-step and help answer any questions you may have.
Am I eligible for the grant?
Eligibility is set by the Queensland Revenue Office. You can review the full criteria on their website to understand whether you qualify, and we can assist you with navigating the requirements.
How much is the grant?
Eligible first home buyers may receive $30,000 when buying or building a new home valued at less than $750,000, including land and any contract variations. The $30,000 grant applies to contracts signed on or after 20 November 2023. The grant is only available for new homes and is subject to eligibility requirements. For the most accurate details, refer to the Queensland Revenue Office website.
When will the grant be paid?
The payment timing depends on whether you are buying a new home, building a home, or applying through an approved agent or directly through the Queensland Revenue Office. For example, the grant may be paid when ownership is registered for a completed new home purchase, or when a final inspection certificate is available for a newly built home. Your approved agent or the Queensland Revenue Office can confirm when the grant will be paid in your circumstances.
