Queensland building boost grant extended until April 2012

Queenslanders building or buying new homes will have access to the state government's $10,000 building boost for an extra three months. The boost covers everyone with its 3 types of grants,

  1. Buying or building a new home
  2. Buying a first home
  3. Buying an investment property

The grant offer, which began in August 2011 was due to expire at the end of January 2012. The grant has been extended until 30th April 2012. This is what you will get when you plan to: Buying or building a new home

  • $10,000 to help you buy or build a new home
  • $10,000 even if the new home isn’t your first
  • $10,000 towards all new houses, units or townhouses

As an existing home owner buying or building a new house, townhouse or unit under $600,000, you may be eligible to receive the Queensland Government’s $10,000 Building Boost Grant. Buying a first home

  • $17,000 for first home buyers who buy or build a new home
  • No transfer duty on first homes under $500,000

As a first home buyer purchasing or building a new house, townhouse or unit under $600,000 in value, you may be eligible to receive the Queensland Government’s Building Boost Grant of $10,000. Combined with the First Home Owner Grant, you may be eligible for grant assistance totalling $17,000. Buying an investment property

  • $10,000 to help you buy or build a new investment property
  • $10,000 and you can rent the property out
  • $10,000 for every new house, unit or townhouse purchased

As an investor buying or building a new house, townhouse or unit under $600,000 in value, you may be eligible to receive the Queensland Government’s $10,000 Building Boost Grant.
